Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2024

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of this website and the purchase of custom office furniture from Urbanplacechecklist. By placing an order or otherwise using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before ordering.

1. Who We Are

This website is operated by Urbanplacechecklist, based at:

31 Gloucester Road
Bristol, BS6 0AN
United Kingdom

You can contact us by:

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) as implemented through the Data Protection Act 2018, where applicable.

2. Placing and Confirming an Order

Orders for custom office furniture may be placed through this website, by email, or by telephone. Because each item is manufactured to your specifications (dimensions, materials, finish, layout), we treat every enquiry as a request for a bespoke quotation rather than an instant purchase.

We reserve the right to decline any order, for example where a specification is not technically achievable or where materials are unavailable.

3. Prices, Payment and What Is Included

All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and, unless stated otherwise, include VAT at the applicable UK rate. Quoted prices cover design consultation, materials, manufacturing, and standard delivery to the address confirmed at order stage, unless the quotation specifies otherwise (for example, installation or removal of old furniture as separate line items).

4. Cancellation and Complaints

4.1 Cancellation

Because items are custom-made to your specification, the statutory right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not generally apply once production has started, as bespoke goods are exempt from this right. However:

4.2 Complaints and Faulty Goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If your furniture arrives damaged, faulty, or not as agreed, please contact us within a reasonable time using the details in Section 1. We will investigate and, where appropriate, offer a repair, replacement, or refund.

To raise a complaint, please email info@urbanplacechecklist.com with your order details and a description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and resolve them fairly.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

6. Cookies and Website Data

This website uses a single cookie, cookie_choice_v1, which stores your cookie consent choice for a period of one year. No analytics, tracking, or session cookies are used on this site. Advertising measurement, where applicable, only runs after you have given consent, and only on the order confirmation page.

You may withdraw or change your consent at any time via the cookie settings available on this website.

7. Your Data Protection Rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have rights including access to, correction of, and deletion of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@urbanplacechecklist.com. If you believe your data protection rights have not been respected, you may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's supervisory authority for data protection.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The version published on this website at the time of your order will apply to that order.
